First Irish Woman selected for EY’s Entrepreneurial Winning Women™, Europe

Pharmapod’s CEO Leonora O’Brien is the First Irish Woman selected for EY’s Entrepreneurial Winning Women™, Europe – a year-long executive leadership program designed for established, women-led businesses that are ready to scale operations and become global market leaders.

O’Brien is among female entrepreneurs from 17 businesses cross 11 countries in Europe selected for the class of 2017. The program is open to businesses which are at least 12 months old with revenues higher than EUR 500,000 for the previous 12 months and which are headquartered in Europe. The participating companies benefit from on-going EY mentorship and provides a significant opportunity to further develop international networks.

O’Brien is no stranger to trailblazing having been the first Irish finalist and winner of the European Laureate at the Cartier Global Women’s Initiative Awards in 2013.

Pharmapod is a pioneering global software for reducing medication errors across the healthcare sector. The company has gone from strength to strength helping thousands of healthcare professionals internationally to understand how to address risks to patients and to drive their Continuous Quality Improvement. Pharmapod has also secured international partnerships with organizations such as the National Pharmacy Association in the UK and the Canadian Pharmacist Association.
