Pharmapod CEO announced as the winner of this year’s pharmacist-led team award.

We are very honoured to announce that Pharmapod has been chosen as the winner of this year’s pharmacist-led team award.

The Clanwilliam Pharmacist Awards 2016 were held last Saturday, November 26th, in the Mansion House, Dublin.  The Awards aim to provide an occasion that recognises the contribution of the profession to healthcare in general, as well as to celebrate and reward pharmacists and their teams. The awards also raised funds for The Pharmacy Benevolent Fund which supports those who have been associated with pharmacy and who are now in need of assistance.

The Pharmapod team took home two of the main awards on the night, winning the pharmacist-led team award and the Professional excellence award.

Pharmapod, led by Leonora O’Brien our CEO & founder, won the pharmacist-led team award. This award was given to an individual who has demonstrated a collaborative, creative and innovative, team-based initiative that resulted in a health benefit locally and nationally. The Pharmapod team were selected for this award due to their success at driving patient safety through innovation and for their dedication and contribution to excellence in healthcare.

Mary Rose Burke, Pharmapod board member, won the professional excellence award.  Mary-Rose was chosen as the winner because of the extensive contribution she has made to the pharmacy industry as well as the world of business.

It is a great honour to be recognised for what the team is most passionate about, driving change to achieve health benefits. The Pharmapod team would like to thank Clanwilliam for sponsoring the event, and AbbVie and Pfizer for sponsoring the two categories.
